What a great experience it was. Todd became our Property Manager. He and Gregory did a super job maintaining our property and securing us good vacation rentals. Shortly after our purchase, we were selected to be featured on an HGTV Caribbean Life Episode with Maria, however, because Maria was involved in a car accident after our selection, Todd jumped in to host the show in Maria’s absence. This episode is still a favorite repeat show on HGTV Caribbean Life. He did a fantastic job, especially considering he was our Property Manager, and not our Real Estate Broker (Maria). He indeed learned a lot about real estate from his partner Maria. UPDATED 2022 Thank you again Maria for how quickly you sold our condo, we are so glad you are nearly fully recovered from your car accident! The entire process went so smoothly too. We are again so grateful. Your professionalism from the very beginning to the closing was amazing! We are sad in part, we no longer have our vacation home there, but are thrilled we can simply contact Todd and he continues to us great vacation accommodations when we desire to visit. We too took the property assessment tour with Maria in early October 2011 and found the condo that we had been dreaming of for the past several years. The tour was very informative, and Maria listened to our needs and only showed us the condos that met our criteria’s. There was no rush, no pressure. Everyone at Reliable Realty was extremely helpful in getting the condo ready for vacation rental use. Claudine (the Office Administrator then) was very instrumental in getting the additional items we needed and being sure photos were taken and emailed to us so we could see the progress. We of course listed our property with Maria. She provided a CMA on its worth and she was spot on! Maria sold it for us in less than 45 days! Our property had appreciated in value since we originally purchased it, so we were well pleased. We understand the new owners absolutely love it too! A rewarding feeling. We still miss our condo, Punta Cana golf courses, and our semi-retired life there. But we will visit often. Maybe rent our old condo. Maria, I know you put a lot of thought, research, and time into preparing this Owner Update Reports, and the “We Care Discount Incentive” proposal you sent to all of us owners. A great idea and effort for stimulating business again for everyone, including providing some financial relief for hopeful vacationers coming to Punta Cana (Bavaro) soon! None of us has control over this situation right now. People cannot just hop on a plane and go anywhere at this time, even if they wanted to. But yes, many can still pre-book their "condo-renting vacations" online, and if they cannot come because of these pandemic uncertainties, it’s great you will refund them. Our property was managed by Todd Williams with Reliable Realty (Property Management). As per our overall experience, we would have to say this full-service agency is by far the best the island has in Property Management. Once you secure a property and spend time on the island, you will totally understand what we mean. There are a lot of people who "say" they are property managers and make a lot of promises but are not kept (or even legal). Reliable Realty SRL is not like that. We have been approached by other people having alternate property management services with nightmare stories. Todd is selective as to who his management company services, and how many properties they manage (not too big, not too small). We actually bought our property from another Real Estate agency before finding out about Maria, the Broker of Sales; and we had a lot of problems. We were fortunate to find Reliable Realty and convinced them to take us on board. It really has been turn-key. They have looked after everything for us for several years now and give us detailed monthly statements with the whole breakdown of expenses and earnings. We met Maria and Todd at the peak of our frustration with Punta Cana real estate agents. We were searching for a rental management company and had one bad experience after another and decided it would be better to try it on our own. My husband, two adult children and I visited the condo over Christmas break. Everything was exactly as explained in the listing, and Todd from Reliable Realty was very easy to work with. We decided to go to Punta Cana as a last-minute whim, and he processed our request and payments within hours. He also arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport, who was on-time, courteous and helpful. When we arrived, we noticed that the refrigerator/freezer was not as cool as it should have been; I contacted Todd, and he sent a handyman the next day. He found the fan was not working, fixed the part and it worked fine from then. The condo has beautiful woodwork, up-to-date furnishings, and everything you would need to cook for yourselves. The grounds were well-maintained, and we were pleased to see security in the courtyard and gate entrance 24/7. The local area is booming with restaurants, bars, and shops. There are only a few very small local markets, however, so I recommend stopping at the large grocery store on your way back from the airport. Prices at the restaurants are shown in local Pesos as well as US Dollars and European Euros, and they accept all three currencies. Bring a lot of small bills, however, because you will not receive change in anything other than Pesos. Overall, we can't say enough about our amazing winter getaway, and we all decided that we would like to make this our family's new yearly tradition!
